Cala Llombards - Surrounded by pine trees

What: Cala Llombards is a small beach, only 55 meter wide, but 150 meters deep. The beach is well hidden and surrounded by low cliffs and pine trees. Normally the ocean is pretty calm here, which makes it a perfect place for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is shallow and the water is crystal clear. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rental. You will find a lot of locals here of all ages, as well as Germans. It is a popular area for Germans to rent houses.


Cala Llombards

Where: 10 kilometers from the popular village of Santanyi, you will find the beach of Cala Llombards. The well hidden bay, where no buses drives all the way to the beach. It is located on the southeastern part of the island, approximately 50 minutes from Palma. The easiest way to get here is by car. Find it on a map here.


Fun to know: If you walk along the cliffs, towards Santanyi, you will see Es Pontàs, a “stone bridge” that nature created. Es Pontàs meens the big bridge in Catalan. It is well worth the short walk.


We recommend: Just a few steps from the seashore, you will find Chiringuito Cala Llombards. This restaurant serves both meat, fish, sandwishes and icecream. Make sure you come early to the beach, to find your perfect spot. You will want to stay here all day. If you have time on your way home, take the opportunity to visit the village of Santanyi. It is well known for its many hippie chic stores, as well as other cool stores. The village also offers a wide range of cozy restaurants and cafées.
