MARKET IN MALLORCA
What: It's one of Mallorca's most significant markets, situated alongside the ancient walls, one of the island's oldest fortifications. It's divided into two zones: one dedicated to local producers (fruit and vegetable stands, etc.) and the other offering various products (jewelry, clothing, and souvenirs).
Where: In winter, Alcudia Market is condensed to stalls along Paseo Mare de Déu de la Victòria. During the tourist season, it draws a large influx of visitors and spectacularly extends through numerous streets in the town.
When: Held every Tuesday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
Fun to know: The Roman consul Quintus Cecilius Metellus incorporated Mallorca into the Roman Republic in 123 BC and founded the cities of Pol·lèntia and Palma. The archaeological remains of the city of Pol·lèntia are just a few meters away from the center of Alcudia.
We recommend: Taking a stroll along the city walls is worth it just for the view. Then, definitely take a tour of the old town adorned with flowers, inspiring all visitors with its stone houses and narrow streets.
Address: Plaça de Carles V, 07400 Alcudia, Balearic Islands
